Moving Right Along…

Wow – It’s been a little over 4 weeks that Phloss has been in play and I am just as excited about what it’s doing now as I was when we first kicked it off. We have some pretty interesting businesses that have decided to jump aboard and I am so thrilled about where I see all of this going.

Phloss is designed to do two things 1. beautify Twitter and 2. dig wells and we are doing both!! We are in this thing for the long haul so even if we only sign up 2 new businesses a week – we are doing what we set out to do! 

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to what we are doing by allowing us to “Phloss” you out!! We look forward to Phlossing many more profiles in days and weeks to come!

If you notice to the right over there…  There is a new Category of links called: Albany Georgia Business. YEP you guessed it. We are going to build out a Business Twitter Guide right here on the Phloss blog… Rock that…

First Day In The Field. Success.

I am a little excited this morning because on yesterday, I “scooped up” Jimmie Fair and we went out evangelizing a new idea that we have for Small Business Owners. This idea that we have now officially named the: Twitter + Phloss = Water campaign is geared specifically towards Small Business Owners. We wanted a way to connect physical “brick and mortar” business to what we are doing on a local level. This is a pretty witty idea (if I say so myself) because it takes Twitter and localizes it. 

1. We introduce local Small Business Owners to Twitter through Phloss 
2. We sign-up a whole City, or at least try to…
3. We partner with the local Publications to post a “Twitter Guide” that list all of our newly “Phlossed” Small Business Peeps…
4. The Community can access the Twitter Guide and find out who is Twittering, what they are Twittering about, and have the ability to connect via Twitter…

Keeping this model true to the Phloss ideals, 50% of all revenue raised goes to dig clean water wells in Africa. Sweet. 

Business Owners have a tri-level package they can invest into: Noob, Maverick, and Hustle. Each Phloss package has it’s own pricing threshold and we keep it real easy. 

On day one (yesterday) we signed up two “super savvy” small businesses, one that has been in business since 1914!! Probably making it the Oldest business within Twitter! Now that’s a milestone (if it’s true). I am pretty excited about it all… Phloss Evangelist, Jimmie Fair will be beating the canvas today to lock in some more businesses – we will see how it goes!

Where Do I Start?

Okay – It’s been an amazing couple of weeks! Phloss is moving right along. I have been SUPER lately with people from all over the country requesting Design work. I am not sure what the deal is but it’s getting pretty “sporty” around here. However; even in all of the “madness” the vibe of Phloss remains steady. 

Today I had the pleasure of “Phlossing” Personal Brand Expert – Hajj Flemings Twitter profile. This was huge because Hajj is a HUGE Personal Brand Pro – respected by many, so to do his Twitter page was a huge honor. BUT was even greater – he agreed to help evangelize what Phloss is really all about, giving. He allowed me to put a “big phat” 50% tag in the design… Nice… SO I was able to Floss him out AND raise a nice contribution for Charity: Water!!

Day 4 of Phloss Development…

Okay – I am feeling a bit “funky” that some “Sitter” is holding the “Phunky Phresh” Phloss.com domain… I am going to have to settle on “getphloss.com” which is still the “hottness”… 

Big things going on… I have tried to keep Phloss under wraps – BUT I have a Designer friend in Indiana, that had to check me out, after I showed off the Vector Phloss Box I made (now that’s a thought… phlossbox.com) anyhoo.. AFTER I told her – Then did a “blatant foul” in Twitter under my brand http://www.twitter.com/vincenthunt - and talked about my excitement – ANOTHER friend of mine http://www.twitter.com/chaddyo at Firebelly – heard me “Tweet” and started following Phloss on Twitter – GOOD STUFF actually – so we roll on!! 

My goal is to have the Phloss site running by next Friday with at least 5 initial designs – anybody wanna contrib???

Why I Created Phloss.

In any regard.. Welcome to Phloss! This is day three of development and I tell you… I am making some SERIOUS headway. I am connecting with Designers and Thinkers and really getting inspired to bring this thing to the mainstream. I am totally “stoked” by the idea that I will collaborating with other Designers to TRULY make Phloss the “hottness”.

I was on the phone last night with Hajj Flemings (my Personal Brand Coach) and he simply killed me with ideas that I can implement within Phloss. Though Phloss is a simple concept – HOW I want to run this brand is the “waky” part. Because I am a Social Technology Strategist as well as many other things – I have an affinity with building around Social Concepts. I want Phloss to be a 100% Social Networking powered brand. I want to NEVER have to meet my team face to face UNLESS we really want to, and I want our work to be fluid and organic. Yep – each person doing their part and making this vision a reality. 

I am strategically lining up with some of the slickest Designers, CSS Gods and Goddesses on the planet to truly bring the heat with this project. 

Phloss On!

e-Junkie and Phloss. Perfect Marriage.

After much consideration I plan to use e-Junkie as my primary delivery mode of fresh waxed Phloss. I have been looking at e-Junkie for quite sometime and after looking at what I wanted to accomplish… Deliver super sexy Twitter layouts with ease and “the quickness”, AND to provide a way where other Twitter Users could get involved on the Affiliate level, e-Junkie gave me all that I needed and more! 

I am looking forward to my first designs and I will be connecting with other Designers so that I can have a fresh mix of a lot of different styles. I am truly, and completely excited to be getting this project off the ground and running!
